    Francesco Pandolfini

     

    Francesco Pandolfini took his first steps right around the counters of the historical family bakery Antonio Mattei in Prato.

    Heir of the ancient Tuscan bakery tradition, Francesco is really keen on food and driven by the spirit of continuous research. In 2001 he founded DESEO for his desire of having his own artisan’s workshop.

    Deseo is the pastry maker’s workroom for creative experimentation and it looks forward to new ideas, new flavours and colours.

    The Bakery

    Deseo’s biscuits are handmade products, baked on a daily basis, sharing a philosophy of quality and authenticity that does not permit the use of any type of preservative, no palm oil for its negative effects on health and environment.

    The main goal is creating well-balanced and tasty biscuits with excellence of the ingredients, natural flavors, handmade working methods and traditional cooking systems.

    Our Biscuits

    DESEO is experimentation and research for innovation: the packaging is the result of a nod to modern design, with a particular inclination to play with color to «suggest» the taste of the ingredients.

    Pictures clearly represent the biscuits and their main ingredients, evoking in this way the taste.

    A creative version and crunchy evolution of the classic almond cantuccini, with the addition of pistachio nuts and walnuts. Green tea or traditional Vinsanto go well with this biscuit, which also makes an excellent match for aged grappa.
